Welcome to my website.

I am an artist who enjoys the creative use of pyrography. My tool is an electric wood burning pen with which I draw directly on sanded, unfinished wood. I used boards from a variety of species of trees.  The tree created most of the art with its unique grain, knots and other natural colorations, and because the grain of the wood ends up looking like a background scene, what I draw I often feel is merely a foreground subject. Each piece is made freehand and as I wood-burn I enjoy seeing the scene as it emerges. When completed, I apply a lacquer finish. My pieces are intended for indoor (not outdoor) wall decor.
